About Josh
Josh Malerman is an American novelist, short story writer, film producer, and one of two singer/songwriters for the rock band The High Strung. He is best known for writing his post-apocalyptic novel, Bird Box, which won the Michigan Notable Book Award in 2015 and was the inspiration for the Netflix film Bird Box. His other books include Pearl, Malorie, Unbury Carol, Inspection, and Daphne. In 2020, he founded the production company Spin a Black Yarn with manager Ryan Lewis; their first film, We Need to Do Something, was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic.
