I encourage my students to find moments of bravery and vulnerability in their practice and performance. I tell them "there is no bear on stage!" I give them specific techniques and tools, and I make sure they reflect on what they've learned in their own words. I love seeing them feel more empowered at the piano and more at home on stage.
