About Jennifer

Jennifer Richards joined the Engagement team as the Associate Director of Engagement in 2026. In this role, she focuses on cultivating meaningful, lifelong relationships with alumni, former faculty and staff, and parents. As the parent of three Interlochen Arts Camp alumni, she brings a uniquely personal and comprehensive understanding to her work.

Richards offers more than 30 years of professional expertise across engagement, fundraising, marketing, customer service, event execution, and volunteer management. Her career at Interlochen began in 2008 as the Volunteer Services Coordinator. She advanced to Marketing Specialist in 2011 and subsequently served as the Interlochen Presents Coordinator. Moving to the Human Resources department in 2014, Richards oversaw volunteer operations, employee engagement initiatives, campus tours, information services, and faculty and staff housing for Interlochen Arts Camp. She was appointed Director of Customer Service and Volunteers in August 2021.

Earlier in her career, Richards served as Marketing Manager for both Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana, and Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, Michigan. She also worked as a Fund Development Officer for Hospice of Michigan, serving its northwest communities. Before re-entering the professional workforce in 2008, she dedicated time to raising her three children.
