About Jeanett

Jeanett Joy Pritchett spent four years as an Academic and College Counselor for Interlochen Arts Academy. She is a native of Benzie County who received her B.S. in elementary education with a double concentration in math and science from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Jeanett also taught middle school math and science at Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham, Michigan. She has a Master of Arts degree in school counseling from New York University. She has worked in both nonprofit agencies and New York City public schools as an academic and college counselor. In addition, she currently teaches graduate level courses as an adjunct professor through NYU Steinhardt's School Counseling Program. Her specialty is in peer mediation and conflict resolution with an emphasis on self-advocacy and social-emotional regulation. Jeanett is also a certified meditation coach and yoga teacher.
