Jax Ohashi

About Jax
Jax Ohashi (b. 1997, Fairfax, Virginia) is a multidisciplinary artist who creates work that centers on gender, healing, humor, and speculative design. As a trans man with a background in product design and anthropology, his art aims to examine and present the possibilities of being transgender in an understandable way.
His work explores a topic that many viewers have misconceptions about by creating speculative products and spaces. He seeks to bring together communities that many assume are disparate with the power of art and design.
All we have are our semantics. If you don’t like yourself, then who should? The most important tool in any studio is a pencil.
