Grace Betry
About Grace
Grace Betry is currently continuing her collaborative piano studies, starting her D.M.A at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Anita Pontremoli in the fall of 2023.
Betry discovered a love for collaborating during her undergraduate studies and decided to pursue that field further. She received a master’s degree in Collaborative Piano: Instrumental under Elena Abend at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (’22). During her time in Milwaukee, Betry collaborated with both vocal and instrumental studios at the Peck School of the Arts and was the pianist for the UWM Symphony and the Milwaukee Children’s Choir. Betry is also the co-founding member of two chamber ensembles: Keynamics Piano Duo with Lorraine Yant and Interstice Chamber Ensemble with Katherine Messer.
Throughout her career, she has been blessed to receive professional instruction through the Collaborative Piano Institute from Martin Katz, Timothy Warren, Rita Sloan, Anne Epperson, Kathleen Kelly, Johnathan Feldman, Howard Watkins, Elvia Puccinelli, and Ana Maria Otamendi.
Besides her degrees in piano, Betry also minored in TESOL and went on to receive her CELTA certification which has opened doors for her to teach ESL around the United States and also Indonesia.
