About Callie

Callie Rekas is a dance educator, choreographer, actor, and model. She recently completed graduate school at New York University, receiving her Master of Arts in Dance Education with an emphasis in Ballet Pedagogy.

Rekas is an American Ballet Theatre-certified teacher (Pre-Primary-Level 5) and has taught students of every age and skill level. In addition to ballet, Rekas teaches jazz, musical theatre, creative movement, lyrical, and contemporary dance. She is an active member of the National Dance Education Organization and in 2022, she was one of four graduate students awarded a scholarship to attend their national conference, where she presented her master's thesis.

Rekas grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Drama from Indiana University. After building an extensive theatre resume, she moved to Los Angeles to focus on on-camera technique and joined SAG-AFTRA. Rekas is passionate about helping her students to bridge technique and performance quality, as her two greatest loves are ballet and musical theatre.

I encourage my students to take ownership of their learning and their accomplishments; perseverance and problem-solving are two of the most important qualities I can help them to cultivate.
