Anna Majcherczyk
About Anna
Now based in New York, violinist Anna Majcherczyk is an active performer and dedicated educator. She regularly appears as concertmaster with the New York Repertory Orchestra and the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and performs with a range of orchestras and chamber ensembles. She is also an active chamber musician, including her work with Majcherczyk & Casal Duo.
Alongside her performing career, Majcherczyk maintains a private teaching studio and works with students at institutions such as the Lucy Moses School and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Her teaching combines European conservatory training with the Suzuki and Paul Rolland methods, emphasizing structured, step-by-step learning, careful listening, and the development of confidence, musical curiosity, and artistic sensitivity.
From 2012 to 2018, Majcherczyk served as Associate Leader of the Second Violins with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, the Berliner Philharmonie, and the Musikverein in Vienna, and made her solo debut at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam as concertmaster of the Kraków Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
Born in Kraków, Poland, Majcherczyk graduated with honors from the Music Academy in Kraków and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, and studied at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg as a Socrates–Erasmus Scholarship recipient.
I focus on a thoughtful, step-by-step learning process that nurtures curiosity and engagement while building confidence. My aim is to develop a lasting connection to music and help students grow as both musicians and expressive, self-aware individuals.
