About Alexis

Alexis Smith, product specialist for S. E. Shires, placed first in the 2012 Southeast Trombone Symposium solo competition. Alexis has received her B.M. from the Manhattan School of Music and her M.M. from The Juilliard School. Currently, she is pursuing a D.M.A. at Boston University. Alexis is the principal trombonist of the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra based in Fort Meyers, Florida and a co-founder of the Boston Trombone Project.
