Witness love’s triumph over evil as the Interlochen Arts Academy Dance Division and the Traverse Symphony Orchestra come together to stage a ballet adaptation of the timeless fairy tale, The Sleeping Beauty. Cursed by the wicked fairy Carabosse, Princess Aurora falls into an enchanted slumber. A century later, Prince Florimund meets Aurora in a dream—and vows to rescue her from Carabosse’s clutches. Don’t miss a breathtaking production featuring exquisite costumes, stunning scenic design, Marius Petipa’s 1890 choreography, and artistic direction by Director of Dance Joseph Morrissey. Acclaimed ballet conductor Kevin Rhodes leads the Traverse Symphony Orchestra as they perform Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s iconic score.
