Why Attend Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop


The 2022 Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop features an accomplished faculty to help energize your playing skills. Learn from Matthew Schroeder, Tom Clippert, and Fingerstyle Guitar guest artist Peppino D'Agostino.  

In this four-day program, participants will attend workshops covering the spectrum of fingerstyle guitar. Topics include arranging, composing, theory and technique, as well as performance tips and ways to stay inspired. You will experience intimate evening concerts featuring our guest artist. Participants should have at least one year of serious study on the guitar, know how to read either tablature or standard notation, and possess a basic understanding of chord structure and alternate tunings. Students must supply their own instrument.

Course Dates: Wednesday, July 27, 2022 to Saturday, July 30, 2022
Registration Fee: $550

K-12 Educators: Earn 16 State of Michigan SCECH clock hours by attending the Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop.

Required Supplies: 
Attendees must supply their own acoustic guitar with a protective case or gig bag.  A steel-string acoustic guitar is preferred but a nylon string “classical” guitar will also work.  Attendees should also have a capo, clip-on tuner and an extra set of strings.  

Additional Optional Supplies:
Pencils, a notebook for notes and a folder for handouts.
