On June 13, Starbucks launched its Coffee Break-away campaign, inspiring viewers to tune in and spend quality time with loved ones. The campaign presented Interlochen alumni Ashley Park (IAC 03) and Nic Weinfeld (IAC 09, IAA 10-12) with the opportunity to collaborate.

Starbucks’ four-minute film, which aired on Good Morning America, featured pairs of people at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City watching personalized videos of their memories together. Afterward, Park entered and began a discussion of how to be more present with each other.

Weinfeld’s production company Five to Sixty filmed the project along with several other commercials for Starbucks. "Collaborating with artists across different disciplines is the best aspect of being a filmmaker,” said Weinfeld. “When the artists you get paired with on projects share a similar backstory as you do—in this case, a fellow Interlochen alumna—it makes collaboration all the more enjoyable and effortless."
