The Interlochen Arts Academy Class of 2022 has already received nearly 200 early action acceptance offers from top universities and colleges, art schools, and conservatories.

Academy graduating seniors have been accepted to prestigious institutions including Columbia University, Yale University, Cornell University, Sarah Lawrence College, Princeton University, New York University, Northwestern University, Indiana University-Bloomington, Stanford University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, the New School, and the University of Southern California.

Renowned art schools and conservatories that have extended early action offers to Interlochen students include Berklee College of Music, the School of Visual Arts, Boston Conservatory, the Royal Conservatory of Music, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Savannah College of Arts and Design, Pratt Institute, and Cornish College of the Arts.

During their junior and senior years, Arts Academy students work closely with Interlochen college counselors to support the college admissions process. Formal college planning begins in January of junior year, when students engage in workshops followed by individual and small group meetings with their assigned counselor.

“Our academic and college counselors work with each student to develop an individualized plan that meets their individual needs and goals,” said Chad Gapinski, Interlochen’s executive director of advising & counseling services. “We are incredibly proud of the phenomenal offers that our students have already received, and we look forward to supporting them in their decision process as additional college acceptances arrive this spring.”

In recent years, 96% of Interlochen Arts Academy graduates have been accepted into one of their top three colleges.
