Arts Camp students to share their talents with the community at “Collage”

An Interlochen favorite, this fast-paced interdisciplinary performance will feature music, theatre, and dance performances; live drawing and painting; and much more.

Each year, Interlochen Arts Camp puts on “Collage,” an interdisciplinary performance that invites the entire campus—along with enthusiastic guests from our community and beyond—to a joyful celebration of the arts.

The 2023 “Collage” will take place Tuesday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m. ET in Kresge Auditorium. The performance will include music, theatre, and dance; creative writing readings; film screenings; live drawing and painting; and more.

“Every year, I’m blown away by the talent and energy on display at 'Collage,'” says Brent Wrobel, Executive Director of Interlochen Presents. “From the young actors who bring so much passion to the stage, to the visual artists who capture the scene with their paint brushes, our students create an incredible experience for everyone who attends.”

“Collage” was first established in 1993 by Ed Downing, who passed away in February of 2023. Since its inception, the performance has become one of Interlochen’s best-loved Camp traditions. The 2023 performance will be dedicated to Ed Downing.
