Mountain Dulcimer Workshop
Why Attend Mountain Dulcimer Workshop
Mountain Dulcimer Guest Artist Dave Haas will use a selection of songs to explore techniques that will complement the lyrics and melodies of the songs. You will come away with a variety of ideas for making each song your own, using several traditional and contemporary methods. The first 90-minute session will focus on improving your strum and your left-hand fingering to make your tunes more musical. The second 90-minute session you will learn how to play slow songs in a smooth and melodic style by plucking the strings one at a time.
Participants should have a good understanding of the mountain dulcimer along with basic technical skill and concepts.
