Opera Workshop: ‘Dido and Aeneas’ by Henry Purcell

Join Interlochen Arts Academy opera students as they perform Henry Purcell’s monumental Baroque opera, Dido and Aeneas. Eager to destroy Carthage, an evil sorceress plots to end the engagement of Carthaginian queen Dido and Trojan hero Aeneas. Tricked by the sorceress’s messenger, Aeneas prepares to leave Carthage—leaving Dido questioning his feelings for her. Don’t miss a heartbreaking tale of love and loyalty based on Book IV of Virgil’s Aeneid.
