Sustainability Retreat

Why Attend the Sustainability Retreat

Join Interlochen Center for the Arts' Sustainability Department for a rare glimpse into the natural world through this highly interactive, hands-on learning experience.

You'll explore the natural elements of Interlochen’s beautiful 1,200 acre campus in the woods and engage in a host of exciting, experiential activities that include nature hikes, canoeing on Bridge Lake’s quiet natural sanctuary, discovering the fascinating world of soil science, backyard composting, hands-on gardening, learning about native plants, and even an evening movie viewing. Using locally sourced, seasonal foods, we are excited to offer some of our meals right at our outdoor kitchen, connected to the RB Annis Botanical Lab and Community Garden.  We look forward to welcoming you to this collaborative opportunity to explore food, cooking, community, and culture together.
