Chamber Music Camp

Why Attend Chamber Music Camp

For more than 60 years, adult musicians have come to Interlochen Center for the Arts to read, play, and polish great works of chamber music together. Join a welcoming community of musicians from around the world to make and listen to a variety of chamber works, build friendships with fellow participants and faculty, and develop your musicianship while absorbing the creative energies of Interlochen's beautiful campus.

Adult Chamber Music Camp Theme and Repertoire:

“Choosing Aspirations—Finding Inspiration!”

Personal agency is a valuable commodity that can be exercised more consciously as we move through life’s journey, affecting both the direction and quality of our existence. The theme of the 2024 Adult Chamber Music Camp, Choosing Aspirations—Finding Inspiration, will encourage us to review our (musical) aspirations, some of which may have changed with the passing years, and to discover the joys of inspiration gleaned sometimes from unexpected sources. Through music and dialogue, we can share some individual and collective perspectives about what energizes us to continue to make the powerful commitments we do to the study, preparation, and performance of great, diverse chamber music! This also serves as an occasion to commemorate those special individuals who profoundly influenced our lives and make us who we are.
