Acoustic Guitar Retreat

Take your guitar playing further in this immersive five-day retreat focused on fingerstyle technique, creativity, and performance.

Under the guidance of accomplished faculty, you’ll explore the many facets of acoustic guitar, from fingerstyle techniques and arranging to composition, music theory, and performance. Through hands-on instruction and ensemble playing, you’ll develop new skills, refine your approach, and find fresh ways to stay motivated in your playing. 

You’ll also prepare a guitar ensemble piece to perform with fellow participants at the end-of-session concert, giving you the chance to put your work into practice. In the evenings, enjoy intimate recitals featuring faculty and guest artists.

Prerequisites:

• You should have at least one year of guitar study, be familiar with either tablature or standard notation, and have a basic understanding of chord structure.
