Local Interlochen alumni are invited to mix and mingle in the new year and enjoy an Interlochen in Town concert by Academy alumna and Instructor of Piano Kara Huber (IAA 04-06). We'll gather at 6 p.m. for drinks and light bites at a free pre-concert reception and then head upstairs to The Alluvion for Kara’s performance of the complete solo piano works of Joan Tower.

  • 6 p.m. | Pre-concert Reception | The Aviary at Commongrounds | RSVP

  • 7:30 p.m. | Interlochen in Town: Kara Huber, piano | The Alluvion at Commongrounds | Purchase Tickets (Local alumni receive a 20% discount on two tickets to the performance. Use code ALUMNIHUBER at checkout.)

Join us for the free reception, the concert, or both. We would love to see you! Family and friends are welcome, but please RSVP so we have an accurate count.

Hailed as “absolutely dazzling…in a word, flawless” (New York Concert Review), Huber is an in-demand recitalist and chamber musician. She has performed at prestigious venues across the United States, Europe, and Australia, including appearances at the Kennedy Center and the Steinway Series at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Huber received a Grammy Award nomination (Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance) for her work with the ARC Ensemble and has performed with the Louisville Orchestra, Canadian Chamber Orchestra, and York Symphony Orchestra, among others.
