Interlochen Organ Scholar
The Interlochen Organ Scholar spends six weeks studying organ at Interlochen Arts Camp, and will participate in several unique performance opportunities.
The Organ Scholar will also have the opportunity to assist in one of the many weekly worship services offered both on campus and in neighboring Traverse City. The Organ Scholar will work closely with faculty to prepare all of the service music, including hymns and anthem accompaniments.
Students attending both three-week sessions of the high school organ summer program are eligible for the Organ Scholar position and scholarship.
To be considered for this position, applicants must submit:
- A recording of a hymn, preferably in a live situation with congregational singing
- An anthem accompaniment, preferably in a live situation with choir
- Two contrasting solo organ works
