Encore Michigan, Michigan’s premier professional theatre news source, recently reviewed the Interlochen Shakespeare Festival’s production of Richard III. In their review, which can be found online, they note that “...all parts of this Richard III are remarkable….”
Critic David Kiley calls Michael Liebhauser (IAC 07-08, IAA 08-12) “phenomenal and complex” as the titular “likeable creep.” Kiley also complimented the excellent performances by the show’s 18-member ensemble and the technical achievements of the stage crew.
This summer marks the 12th season of the Interlochen Shakespeare Festival, whose mission is to bring the works of Shakespeare to northern Michigan audiences in innovative ways. Richard III tickets are still available for the final two performances on July 5 & 6; a concurrent run of Eleanor Burgess’ The Niceties concluded on July 3.
