Maureen Oleson joined the marketing team at Interlochen Center for the Arts in 2011, and in 2018 she was named Interlochen’s first Executive Director of Customer Experience.
In her role on the marketing team, Maureen created and implemented communication strategies that drove profitability and growth and created brand advocates for Interlochen Arts Camp, Academy, the College of Creative Arts, Interlochen Public Radio, and Interlochen Presents. Prior to joining Interlochen, Maureen moved rapidly up the ranks at Traverse City-based digital marketing firm, Oneupweb.
She has produced results-oriented marketing campaigns that have earned numerous industry awards, including ADDYs, Tellys, an International BMA Award of Excellence, and several other honors. She has twice served as a judge for the International ECHO Awards, and she was named a 2018 Traverse City Business News 40 Under 40.
Maureen is an active and enthusiastic member of the northern Michigan community, volunteering her time through several local agencies such as the Traverse City Rotary and Safe Harbor. She currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Addiction Treatment Services.
Maureen holds a B.A. in Journalism from Grand Valley State and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Kingston University. She is an avid runner and enjoys spending her free time on outdoor adventures with her husband Nate and two kids Patrick and Eloise.
