Colby Carson, Ed.D.


About Colby
Colby Carson came to Interlochen from Pittsburgh, where he served as Director of Recruitment and Enrollment at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. Before moving to Carnegie Mellon, Carson was Director of Admission and Associate Director for Student Affairs at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. He was previously Assistant Director of Admissions for Recruitment at The Juilliard School in New York City.
Carson earned his doctorate in Higher Education Management from the University of Pittsburgh, and holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from the Florida State University College of Music, where he began working in admissions in 2009. Before returning to FSU, where he also received a Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education, Carson taught high school chorus in Orlando, Florida.
