Interlochen Arts Academy Class of 2022 graduates to attend top colleges, universities, art schools, and conservatories

Interlochen Arts Academy Class of 2022 graduates plan to attend top colleges, universities, art schools, and conservatories. Approximately 96% of graduating seniors were accepted into one of their top three colleges.

Academy graduating seniors will attend prestigious institutions in the fall including Columbia University, Northwestern University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Yale University, New York University, Cornell University, and the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

Renowned art schools and conservatories that will welcome Academy students include the Curtis Institute of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, Pratt Institute, Eastman School of Music, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Ringling College of Arts and Design, Carnegie Mellon University School of Fine Arts, Boston University College of Fine Arts, the Royal Academy of Music, Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music, and California Institute of the Arts.

During their junior and senior years, Arts Academy students work closely with Interlochen college counselors to support the college admissions process. Formal college planning begins in January of junior year, when students engage in workshops followed by individual and small group meetings with their assigned counselor.

The Arts Academy’s academic and college counselors work with each student to develop an individualized plan that meets their individual needs and goals. “We take pride in supporting our students through the entire college application and decision process and are deeply proud to see them embark upon paths that best support their goals and aspirations,” said Chad Gapinski, Interlochen’s executive director of advising & counseling services.
