There are multiple ways of investing in Interlochen. Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds are securities we are equipped to accept. Steps to do this are outlined below:

How to donate stocks, bonds or mutual funds to Interlochen

Wire Transfers
The easiest way to transfer securities (stocks, bonds) is to make a wire transfer from your bank or brokerage to Interlochen's broker. Before doing so, please call Interlochen's Development department to get the proper DTC and account numbers to facilitate the transfer. Call Lori Manwaring at 231.276.7348 or Beth Stoner at 231.276.7617. This will help to ensure a smooth exchange for all.

Sending a Stock Certificate
You may send (mail) stock certificates that are held by you directly to the Development department if you wish. The certificates must be either assigned or issued to Interlochen Center for the Arts. See below for proper procedures for these type of transfers.

Issuing a Stock Certificate
Your bank or broker will assist you when you want to issue a certificate to Interlochen. Please note that Interlochen's official corporate name - Interlochen Center for the Arts - must be listed as the owner of the certificate to be valid. Once the certificate has been issued to Interlochen Center for the Arts, you may send it to:

Please include a note saying to which fund(s) you would like to designate your gift: Annual Scholarship Fund, Technology Improvements Fund, Guest Faculty Fund, Endowment, general support, or other special purposes.

Assigning a Stock Certificate
You may assign and send a stock certificate to Interlochen Center for the Arts if you desire. Please note that Interlochen's official corporate name - Interlochen Center for the Arts - must be used as the assignee of the certificate to be valid.
Also, the stock certificate(s) MUST BE signature guaranteed by your bank or broker. Remember to please include a note saying to which fund(s) you would like to designate your gift: Annual Scholarship Fund, Technology Improvements Fund, Guest Faculty Fund, Endowment, Interlochen Pathfinder School, general support, or other special purposes.
