Performing Arts Series Begins to Take Shape

The 2013-14 Performing Arts Series will kick off on Sunday, September 8 with a 3 p.m. concert from America’s favorite singing cowboys, the Riders In The Sky. And things only heat up from there, with NBC’s “The Voice” star Chris Mann appearing in concert in Corson Auditorium on Friday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m.

For thirty years, Riders In The Sky have been keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, reviving and revitalizing the genre. And while remaining true to the integrity of Western music, they have themselves become modern-day icons by branding the genre with their own legendary wacky humor and way-out Western wit. Come hear America’s favorite cowboys, as this Grammy Award-winning quartet sing and entertain audiences of all ages “The Cowboy Way.” Tickets for the 3 p.m. concert on September 8 are $23.50 adult, $20.50 senior and $9 student.

Hailed as “one of the most incomparable vocalists” on the hit NBC series “The Voice,” all-star vocalist Chris Mann brings his blend of classically trained tenor and contemporary pop vocals to Corson Auditorium. Influenced by Pavarotti, Robbie Williams and vintage Sinatra, Chris has captured the hearts of millions and has already had two songs on the iTunes Top 10 Pop Singles Chart. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. concert on September 13 are $29 adult, $26 senior and $10 student.

Tickets for both shows can be purchased online at or by calling the Interlochen Box Office at 800.681.5920.

Stay tuned for the complete 2013-14 Performing Arts Series lineup, which will be released soon!
