Kenneth Fischer (IAC 55, 57-58, 60-62, IAC St 66, ICA Trustee) will receive The College of Wooster's Distinguished Alumni Award during Wooster's Alumni Weekend this June 2013.

James Boyk (IAC 59-60, UM 61, 63) announced the release of his new blog "Boyk on Piano." The entries will include practical advice for pianists as well as useful information for all musicians. He hopes to interest non-musicians as well.

Dell (Grace) Schroeder (UW 59, IAC St 63-64) serves as the director of Band at the Beach, a non-profit that advocates for quality music in schools in Ocean Beach, California.

Tovah Feldshuh (IAC 63-65) starred in a radio-style klezmer play "The Witches of Lublin" as part of the Stephen Gottlieb Music Festival on May 12, 2013 at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Jim Hecker (IAA 67-69) presently serves as the environmental enforcement director at Public Justice in Washington, DC. Jim has been elected to the Board of Directors of Defenders of Wildlife, a national environmental group with more than one million members.

Dr. Daniel McCarthy's (IAC 69, IAA 70-74, IAC St 73, IAC Fac 95-06) received four awards for the 2013 American Prize in music composition in the categories of orchestral, wind ensemble, chamber, and choral music. He also competed in the American Tae Kwon Do United Midwest Championship Tournament and received the Silver Medal for Technical Breaking and The Bronze Medal for Poomse (form) in the 40-50 age group. Daniel is director of composition at The University of Akron School of Music.

Xiao-Mei (Sho-mei) Pelletier (IAC 70) serves as associate principal violin of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. She is a member of the DSO YES String Quintet, dedicated to sharing the joys of music with school-children of all ages. She is also a member of the Fine Arts Chamber Players, "A-Z" Music Ensemble, dedicated to introducing music to young children. Xiao-mei is a teaching assistant and scholarship student of Josef Gingold, at Indiana University in Bloomington. Published Author of three books on music: "Wacky Musical Instruments," "Funny Composers," and "The Simple Dictionary for Classical Musicians."

F. Hudson Miller (IAA 72-76, IAC St 76-78, Motion Picture Advisory Board 05-Present) just completed the sound effects on Warner Bros.' "300: Rise of an Empire" and has begun work on the studio's Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone boxing comedy "Grudge Match."

Bruce Price (IAC 73-74, IAA 74-76, IAC St 75) will have his first solo museum exhibition at the Denver Art Museum from May 15, 2013 through November 15, 2013. The exhibition is a survey of works on paper from 2007-2012.

Ardith Holmgrain (IAC 74-76) serves as the auditorium manager of the American Academy of Arts and Letters in Washington Heights, New York.

Mark Nadler (IAC 74-75, IAA 76-80) transformed his deep interest with the Weimar Republic into the show "I'm a Stranger Here Myself: Music from the Weimar and Beyond." The show is currently running at the York Theatre in New York City.

Jack Driscoll (IAA Fac 75-08) is the 2013 winner of the Society of Midland Authors Award.

Brad DePlanche (IAA 79-81) was cast in "The Importance of Being Earnest" and "Measure for Measure" for the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's summer season, as well as "The Taming of the Shrew" and "It's a Wonderful Life" for the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre's fall season.

Lothair Eaton (IAC 79-82, IAA 81-82) plays Poppa in the production of Starlight Express which is touring the U.K.

David Neubauer (UM 79-80) is a magician based in Los Angeles. David recently performed at the world premiere for the movie "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," entertaining the stars of the film (Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin and James Gandolfini) and their guests.

Dion Parson (IAC 82) in collaboration with Nicole Koerts-Parson will soon launch the United Jazz Foundation. The foundation will educate and mentor students who will seek a career in jazz.

Linda Snyder (IAC Fac 84-86, U Fac 90-91) retired from her position as professor and coordinator of voice studies at the University of Dayton where she served as chair of the department of music and as associate dean.

Christina Dozauer Ray (IAC 86, IAC St 87-92) serves as the choir director for Southern Hills School in Boulder, Colorado.

Clay Ellerbroek (IAA 86-89, IAC 88) serves as principal flute with the Florida Orchestra. Clay was the soloist in Lowell Liebermann's Flute Concerto, commissioned by James Galway in the orchestra's second to last program of the season.

Zuill Bailey (IAC 87-88) performed a solo recital on March 30, 2013 in Northampton, Massachusetts as part of the Music in Deerfield performance series.

Sean "Sparky" Thomas (IAC 91, IAA 91-92, IAC St 92-95, 98-02, IAA St 98-99, 01-03) has published his third book, "I Dare You." Sean currently lives in Moscow, Russia where he is a correspondent and presenter for the English-speaking television network Russia Today-RT.

Molly (Thompson) Piech (AS 92, IAC 93-95) married Joe Piech on April 13, 2013. Fellow campers Jenna Shapiro (IAC 93-95), Barbara Swartz (IAC 93-95), Jeanne Feldkamp (IAC 94-95), and Kasey (Bumgarner) Lohman (IAC 93-94) attended the wedding. The couple resides in Chicago. Molly is a vice president in the wealth management division of UBS, the Swiss bank. She is also a violinist in the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra.

Jennifer Sygit (IAC 92, AS 93, 95) released the album "So Long Pollyana," her third solo studio album.

Lance Horne (IAC 94-95, IAA 94-96) served as the music director for Ben Fold's 24-Hour Musicals - an annual fundraiser and creative event.

Soyeon "Kate" Lee (IAA 94-97, IAC St 97) is the co-founding director of "Music by the Glass," a performance series that brings a fresh, unique concert experience in intimate settings in the greater New York Tri-State area.

Dustin Tucker (IAA 94-98, IAC St 09) is a company member of Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival production of Midsummer Night's Dream, summer 2013.

Louis Schwadron (IAC 95, IAA 95-96) performs as the Brooklyn-based "Sky White Tiger." Sky White Tiger (Louis) performs on a variety of instruments including horn, which he studied at Interlochen and Juilliard.

Alexandra "Al" Silber (IAC 95-99, IAA 99-01, IAC St 01-02) will be singing Maria in West Side Story with the San Francisco Symphony June 27-30 and July 2, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, opposite Cheyenne Jackson as Tony. It will all be recorded for the first symphonic album since Leonard Bernstein's in 1984.

Ryan Spahn (IAA 95-98) and Halley Feiffer wrote and starred in the comedy feature film "He's Way More Famous Than You."

Jill Habig (IAA 96-00) accepted a new job as attorney advisor to California Attorney General Kamala Harris in San Francisco, California.

Michael Rizik (IAC 96-98) is a graduate of Michigan State University and The Siebel Institute of Technology. Michael is the current owner and head brewer at Beggars Brewery in Traverse City, Michigan.

Grant Uhle (IAC 96-98, 00-03, IAC St 06) teaches voice at The Nelly Berman School of Music in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Sara Masterson (IAC 97-00, IAA 00-03) is headed out on a national music tour with dates booked in New York City, Boston, Columbus, Nashville, Chicago, Augusta and many other cities. She will continue to play shows all over Chicago and the Midwest. Sara just launched a Kickstarter campaign for a brand-new album she will be recording with a Nashville producer.

Maria Meschi (IAC 97, IAA 98-01, IAC St 03-04) has been recognized by Meeting Professionals International (MPI) with the 2013 Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence (RISE) Award for Young Professional Achievement. Recipients are recognized for innovation, global transferability, impact and influence within the meeting and event industry.

Eldar Djangirov (IAC 98-01) released the album "Bach/Brahms/Prokofiev" on May 14. The album is classical material for solo piano.

Santino Fontana (IAC 99) was nominated for a Tony Award for actor (musical) for his work in "Cinderella."

Daniel Rosenboom (IAC 99 IAA 99-00) will release a new solo album "Book of Omens" on July 9, 2013. This past winter he founded a new creative art collective in Los Angeles called Creative Underground Los Angeles. Daniel continues to tour as "solo trumpet" in Josh Groban's (IAC 97-98) band and will perform at Interlochen with Josh on August 12, 2013.

Luke (Balzuweit) Winslow-King (IAA 00-01, IAC St 01, ICCA Fac 08) released his third album "The Coming Tide."

Kathleen Johannigman (IAC 01-05) is a cast member of The Muny production of Pirates! in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marisa Blankier (IAC 02-06, IAA 06-08, IAC St 07) has had an active bi-coastal stage management career since graduating from CalArts last May, managing productions with the Center Theatre Group at the Kirk Douglas Theater in Los Angeles and the South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa, California and a series of productions in New York, including Elephant Room on both coasts. She is currently working in New York with the NY Neo-Futurists and Elephant Room at The Box and looking forward to further projects with Poor Dog Group, Early Morning Opera, Cloud Eye Control and Los Angeles Performance Practice.

Kelly Rodal (IAC 03-04, IAA 03-06) was a contestant on the television game show, Wheel of Fortune on May 23, 2013.

Jill Winternitz (IAA 03-04) will continue in the leading role as "Baby Houseman" in the touring cast of Dirty Dancing. The West End return of this show will run at London's Piccadilly Theatre.

Saxon Jones (IAA 04-05, 06-08) was cast in a web series pilot called "Money and Fame" along with Jim Piddock and Jessalyn Gilsig.

Elizabeth Matt (IAA 05-07) serves as the associate producer of casting for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. She has also worked in casting other television shows such as The Real Housewives of Miami and Swamp People.

Danielle Rossbach (IAC 05-06) is the operations intern at River Oaks Chamber Orchestra in Houston, Texas.

Gabriel Campos Zamora–Gabi (IAC 05-07, IAA 06-08) has been a fellow with the Ensemble ACJW at Carnegie Hall for the past year. Gabriel has been appointed Principal Clarinet of the Virginia Symphony under JoAnn Falletta.

Megan Tartal (IAC 07-09) has been named valedictorian of the Woodhaven High School Class of 2013. She will be attending the University of Michigan this fall.

Theo Van Dyck (IAC 07, 10 IAA 08-12) completed his freshman year at The Juilliard School and will spend this summer in Creede, Colorado at the Creede Repertory Theater (CRT) as a member of the CRT Orchestra.

Julia Popham (IAC 10-12) will travel to Washington DC, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and London with the 2013 National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America.

Angelique Montes (IAC 12) will join the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America this summer.
