In 1989, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (IAC/NMC 81-83, IAC/NMC Staff 84-85, IAC Fac 89) received half of the baton used by Star Wars score composer John Williams during his performance with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Interlochen Arts Camp. Over 20 years later, McGlynn voices Governor Arihnda Pryce on the popular animated television show, Star Wars Rebels.

“To be a part of the Star Wars universe is a dream come true,” said McGlynn. “The first time you see your name in that light blue font with the stars in the background, and you hear the music, just brings tears to your eyes. It's an amazing experience.”

The Force is strong with McGlynn, and with all of our alumni with connections to the fabled franchise.

Happy May the Fourth to all of our Star Wars fans.
