On March 4, 2016 the Interlochen Board of Trustees approved the Position Profile to be utilized in our search for the next President of Interlochen. The document was developed after an extensive outreach program that included on-campus focus groups with faculty, staff and students, and an online survey that went to thousands of friends and supporters of Interlochen. We received over 2,100 responses to the survey.

The Position Profile is both a marketing document to be used as we go out into the market place to recruit candidates, and a guideline for the most desired skills/attributes/experience we deem important as we begin our search. We wanted this document to be informative but flexible – the ultimate decision will be based upon many factors, including the good judgment of the Trustee Search Committee and the Board of Trustees.
