Four Interlochen-produced films will be featured at the upcoming 8th Annual Frankfort Film Festival on Oct. 20-13, 2016.
Two of the films will be screened on Thursday, Oct. 21 and two will be shown on Friday, Oct. 22 before each evening’s feature films.
The Thursday evening films are Match Girl and Free Interlochen Arts Camp. Match Girl was created by Interlochen alumnus Colter Fellows, now a student at the Rhode Island School of Design. The film chronicles the psychological turmoil of a young woman living in a post-apocalyptic world when she is faced with the inevitability of leaving the safety of her cabin.
Free Interlochen Arts Camp was written by 2016 Interlochen Arts Camp alumnus Jacob Bradley during the summer session. In the film, a teenage girl forms a friendship based on a mutual love of music.
Friday evening’s films are The Visitation and Love is a Flower by Interlochen Arts Academy seniors Rosee Park and Alina Bobrova, respectively. The Visitation is the tale of a young boy who visits his father in prison after his mother’s death. Love is a Flower sees a young woman grappling with the emotions of unrequited love.
The screenings are at 8 p.m. on Oct. 20 & 21 respectively at The Garden Theater in Frankfort. You can learn more about the festival via The Garden Theater website.
