A portfolio that shows established skill in drawing, particularly from observation. Students returning to the Intermediate Visual Arts program are highly encouraged to apply for this program, as it will build on the foundational skills they developed in a previous summer.
Prepare a minimum of five images that represent your highest quality of work. Three pieces must be made from direct observation (drawn or painted from life, not copied from a photograph). The portfolio may be in any medium but evidence of some color experience is preferred (paint, colored pencil, pastel, etc.)
Applicants who submit a portfolio to the Advanced Drawing and Painting program may be considered for the Intermediate Visual Arts program.
