Musical Theatre Production Summer Program for Grades 6-9

Take the next step in your training with our six-week musical theatre production summer program. During your time here, you will discover your capabilities and strengths as a performer, while working with other talented students to stage a full-scale musical production.

  • Godspell (2014)

  • A Little Princess (2013)

  • The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (2012)

  • Highlights from the summer 2009 production of Little Shop of Horrors.

Program length: 6 weeks
Program dates:
June 27, 2015 to August 10, 2015
Tuition: $7,750
Age range: Grades 6-9

In this program, you will further develop your skills in acting, singing, and dancing through intensive work with a team of experienced instructors. The session culminates in a three-performance run of a production with technical and design support.

Recent productions include Godspell, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Little Shop of Horrors, Cinderella, Cats, and A Little Princess. The summer 2015 production title will be announced in the spring.

As a student in this program, you will have five hours of rehearsal a day and a class in acting technique. While musical theatre production students do not take elective classes, you will have many opportunities to enjoy presentations in music, dance, film, creative writing, and visual arts throughout the summer.
