Adult Band Camp

More than seventy adults from across the United States and around the world come together to experience the joy of ensemble performance in a challenging, supportive, fun and friendly environment.

Tuesday, August 6, 2013 to Sunday, August 11, 2013

Instrumental faculty will teach master classes, coach daily chamber music sessions and play in the ensemble. Repertoire will be tailored to the ensemble size and experience level. The experience will culminate with a public performance in Corson Auditorium.

Classes will be held throughout the campus of Interlochen Center for the Arts and will culminate with a public performance in Corson Auditorium. Designed by Alden Dow and dedicated in 1975, Corson Auditorium seats 952 and is a beautiful, comfortable auditorium with excellent acoustics. Corson Auditorium hosts Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen Arts Camp and acclaimed guest artist performances every year.

Flute registrations have been filled at this time. We are currently accepting flute participants on a wait-list basis if any additional enrollments or cancellations create a working ratio with the other instrumentation to balance the ensemble. Cancellations will be filled on a on a first-come, first served basis.

Interlochen College of Creative Arts offers a variety of education programs in the arts for adults 18 years or older.  Participant must turn 18 years of age on or before the first day of the desired education program.  Enrollment is limited to 90 participants who will be registered on a first-come, first served basis.

Early registration will help ensure your enrollment, as certain instruments are limited in order to maintain a working ratio with the other instrumentation: Flutes/Piccolo (15) and Trumpets (12). Flute and Trumpet registrations received after the cap has been met will be contacted and asked if they wish to be held on a wait-list basis. Pending that cancellations or additional enrollments become available that maintain a working ratio with the other instrumentation.

Full tuition payment is required to be submitted with the completed registration. Registration confirmation will be sent via email once registration and payment have been received and processed. Please complete one registration per participant per program enrolled. Tuition fees do not include housing and meals. Please contact the Interlochen Stone Student Center for campus housing rates, reservation information, airport transportation rates and cafeteria meal plan options at 231.276.7570. Inform the hotel reservation agent which adult education program you are a participant in to request your group rate lodging discount.
