Yarn Dyeing for Beginners and Beyond

Adult Arts Program

Have you ever admired the beautiful multi-colored yarns available at your local yarn shop? Have you ever wondered how to produce the rich and deep tonal color in the kettle dye yarns? In this class, fiber artist Nancy McRay will share some of her trade secrets. Demonstrations will include kettle-dyeing, hand painting on yarn and bold variegation. You will have the chance to choose a dye method and dye a 100 gram skein, enough for a pair of socks or a small shawl. All skill levels are welcome.
