Wendy Masterson

Wendy Masterson is the Interim Director of Dance and has served on the faculty of Interlochen Arts Academy since 1991. While at Interlochen she has created many classical and contemporary ballets, some of which have been performed at Regional Dance America Festivals. During 2002-03, Ms. Masterson was the coordinator for the All Pointes North Regional Dance America Mid-States Festival hosted by Interlochen. In addition to the Academy, she has worked at Interlochen Arts Camp; the Vail International Dance Festival, first as Assistant to the Director and subsequently as the Summer Administrator; Ballet Iowa, American Festival Ballet, and Corpus Christi Concert Ballet; and the DanceAspen Summer School. She is an advisor, adjudicator, and master teacher with the American Ballet Competition. She has also served as a panelist for the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Ms. Masterson is currently pursuing certification as a Somatic Movement Educator at The School for Body-Mind Centering.
