Wendy Masterson, a nationally recognized master teacher, choreographer and arts administrator, is a Somatic Movement Educator from the School for Body-Mind Centering®, a GYROTONIC® trainer and holds an MFA /BFA in Dance. She is currently Director of Program Development for Body-Mind Centering-CA/NC and serves on the international Board of Directors of BMCA. In 2010 Ms. Masterson presented a movement session at the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science conference in Washington, D.C. She has published several articles on somatics in education including  "Classroom Connections: Body-Mind Centering takes an energetic twirl around the classroom and leads teen dancers to self-discovery", Conscious Dancer/Spring 2012 and "Connecting Journeys:  A Self-Study in Cellular Consciousness",  Currents: a journal of the Body-Mind Centering Association, April 2012. Ms. Masterson, on the faculty of Interlochen Arts Academy since 1991 and as Interim Director in 2008/09, has initiated several cross-disciplinary courses including the Artist as Revolutionary campus-wide theme in 2003.
