Michael L. Chamberlin

Michael L. Chamberlin has taught science (Ecology, Tropical Ecology, Man And The Environment, Biology, Human Anatomy) at the Academy for 35 years. He has been a field researcher for U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, The Nature Conservancy and The Peregrine Fund. Mr. Chamberlin has also organized and led one- and two-week student study/travel trips in North, Central & South America for 30+ years, and conducts private research and publications in ornithology.

He has completed extensive travel throughout western United States, Alaska & northern Canada and is a long-time member of numerous local, state and national environmental organizations.

Awards include the Michigan Audubon Society's Brewer Research Award, 1976 and Environmentalist Of The Year, by Northern Michigan Environmental Action Council, 1985. He has been a Federal Master Bird Bander since 1972.
