Michael Delp

Instructor of Creative Writing Michael Delp is the author of four full-length collections of poetry and prose, and a co-editor of two editions of Contemporary Michigan Poetry; Poems from the Third Coast. His work has won numerous awards including a PEN syndicate Fiction Prize, a Michigan Council for the Arts Creative Artist Grant and a Passages North/NEA Poetry prize. His other awards include multiple citations from the National Foundation for the Arts  (NFAA) for the Presidential Scholars Teaching award and was  named the NFAA Distinguished Teacher in the Arts in 2000. He has published four full-length collections of prose and poetry and is currently a co-editor of the "Made in Michigan" booker series at Wayne State University Press. He lives in Interlochen, Michigan, teaches in the Creative Writing program at the Interlochen Arts Academy and spends almost all of his free time at The Reeling Waters Lodge on the Boardman River. He lives with is wife on Green Lake and his daughter is a summer faculty member at Interlochen Arts Camp.
