About Jeffery

Dr. Jeffery Kleinsorge is the director of the Preparatory and Community Piano Program at Concordia University Chicago, and teaches university courses in piano pedagogy and keyboard techniques. He was formerly a member of the faculty of the New School for Music Study, where his mentors included Louise Goss and Marvin Blickenstaff.

Dr. Kleinsorge has studied with some of the most important pianists of our generation, such as Ralph Votapek and Constance Keene.

I believe strongly in well-rounded musicianship. The highest level of performance and achievement should always be matched with informed, intelligent, and artistic musicality, and a deep love of music as a form of personal expression.

An active member of the Music Teachers National Association, Dr. Kleinsorge is an executive officer on the board of directors for both Chicago Music Teachers Association and the Illinois State Music Teachers Association. He also serves the Music Teachers National Association as a member of the Nominating Committee.
