Maureen Michaels

Executive Director, Customer Experience

Maureen Michaels is the Executive Director of Customer Experience at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Previously, she served as Interlochen’s Director of Marketing, leading strategies for Interlochen Arts Camp, Academy, the College of Creative Arts, Interlochen Public Radio, and Interlochen Presents. Prior to joining Interlochen, Maureen moved rapidly up the ranks at the Traverse City-based digital marketing firm, Oneupweb.

Maureen has developed and led campaigns that have resulted in numerous honors, including Communicator, Telly, Webby, Stevie, Communitas, ADDY, Davey, and more. She has twice served as a judge for the international ECHO Awards, is a member of the Traverse City Rotary, and is a volunteer for Safe Harbor and Interlochen Public Radio. She currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Addiction Treatment Services, and in 2018 she was named a Traverse City Business News 40 Under 40. Maureen holds a bachelors in journalism from Grand Valley State University and a masters in creative writing from Kingston University.
