Matthew Lindstrom is originally from Lake View, NY. He is currently an instructor in dance and theater for the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy. Before coming to Interlochen, he was an assistant professor of dance at Colorado Mesa University. He has given master classes and set work at Cornell College, University of Northern Iowa, West Texas A&M University, Iowa Wesleyan College, Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Company and many others. For eight years he served as dance captain for Stephen Foster the Musical in Bardstown, KY. His choreography has been presented in Aspen, Boulder, Denver, throughout the Midwest, New York, Costa Rica and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2010 his piece "If I were, you'd be(e)" was chosen to close the ACDFA Northwest region gala concert. Recently he has appeared in both the Interlochen Shakespeare Company's productions and the full length ballets of the Interlochen dance ensemble.
