Ms. Kowalsky was an elementary school music instructor in Maryland prior to moving to Interlochen. She has been employed at Interlochen Center for the Arts since 1975 and has worked in several different capacities, such as Coordinator of Instrument Services, Academy Program Office Manager, Director of Faculty/Student Services, Director of Registration and has been in the Admissions Office for the past five years. She is a bassoon instructor and performing bassoonist with the Old Town Playhouse in Traverse City, Westside Winds and the Traverse Wind Quartet as well as other groups in the Traverse City area. Ms. Kowalsky has two grown children who are graduates of the Interlochen Arts Academy.
