Kristina Godfrey Nichols has been teaching dance and choreographing since 1995. A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, she went on to teach for the Somerset Ballet Center (now a branch campus of the Kansas City Ballet) in Kansas City, for six years before returning to northern Michigan. She served two summers on the dance faculty for Interlochen Arts Camp, and has been a previous guest instructor for the Interlochen Arts Academy dance department and throughout the area. She has choreographed several musicals and musical reviews, including Cabaret, The Full Monty, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and RENT. She performs regularly in the area with the local band "Swing Shift," served as a professional for the 2010 season of "Swing Shift and the Stars," and is a performer and choreographer with the Old Town Playhouse in Traverse City. She has also served as an administrator for Interlochen Center for the Arts since 2001, including roles as Director of Instructional Programs for Interlochen Arts Camp and Assistant Vice President for Education Programs.
