DeeDee Tibbits was born into a musical family of nine and raised in the thumb of Michigan. Her family regularly sang and performed on all sorts of instruments. DeeDee pursued her love of music, earning a Music Education degree from Central Michigan University. She began her teaching career in Caro, Michigan where she met her husband, Russ. The couple have made Caro their home and raised two very musical daughters there.
DeeDee travels the country teaching mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, harp and Irish whistle. When home, DeeDee tutors 38 private students on five different instruments and voice and she performs regularly at assemblies, weddings and Celtic concerts. Her passion is to share her love of music wherever she goes.
