About Christina

Christina Seymour has performed professionally in New York City and across the United States, before settling in the Traverse City area with her family, where she currently works as a freelance director and acting/vocal coach, and serves as Director of the Intermediate Musical Theatre Workshop at Interlochen Arts Camp.

Professionally, Seymour played Antonia in the Broadway National Tour of Man of La Mancha, starring Jack Jones and Ron Holgate, and originated the title role in the World Premiere of BT McNicholl's The It Girl. Off-Broadway: Two By Two: The Richard Rodgers Centennial Concert (Rachel) at Jewish Repertory Theatre, with Walter Willison & Pat Suzuki, and leading roles in New York premieres/new works at the Judith Anderson, The Mint Theatre, and Genesius Theatre Guild. Regional: Camelot (Guenevere), West Side Story (Maria), Phantom (Christine), Kismet (Marsinah), The Sound of Music (Maria), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), and A Christmas Carol (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park). She can also be heard on several cast recordings, including the York Theatre's Musicals in Mufti Cast recording of Billion Dollar Baby (produced by BT McNicholl, starring Kristen Chenoweth).

Directing credits include Into the Woods, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Godspell, Seussical, Anything Goes, Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, Theory of Relativity, and multiple new works as part of the Young Playwrights Festival presented by City Opera House and Michigan State University's Wharton Center. Seymour is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (Cum Laude) and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy's Florence Bower Vocal Scholarship winner; former advertising and marketing manager at Procter & Gamble; Member, Actors Equity Association.
