Robert Willoughby was a mentor to generations of flutists and continues to teach at age 93. Recently, he presented Interlochen with an exceptional gift: a rare golden flute, handcrafted by Jack Moore. The instrument has opened new opportunities, not just for performers but in the science classroom.
Ten years ago, Michael Arden had never met a deaf person. Today, he is directing a musical production of “Spring Awakening” that brings together deaf and hearing actors to create an entirely new form of artistic expression.
This summer, join the 2,500 students from around the world who will come to Interlochen to study music, theatre, dance, film, visual arts, and creative writing. We are now accepting applications for summer 2015 programs!
