When the Interlochen Board of Trustees met on campus in July for their annual meeting they elected a new chairman to succeed Gerald Fischer, who retired from the board after 19 years, the last three as chair.
Camp and Academy alumnus Steve Hayden was named the new chairman of the Board of Trustees and is the first Arts Academy alumnus to serve in this position. Hayden is the Vice Chairman of Worldwide Brand Services for Ogilvy-Mather Advertising, where he is responsible for worldwide branding and advertising for numerous companies including Coca Cola, Ford, IBM and many others.
Interlochen also welcomed five new trustees:
