Interlochens Concertmaster series allows students in Interlochens various music programs to work with, learn from and directly interact with some of the world’s leading conductors, composers and musicians. The results are often reciprocated, with the guest artists gaining as much from the experience as the students!

Surrounding “Collage” in lights this year was the launch of “CREATE AMAZING: The Campaign for Interlochen,” a comprehensive fundraising campaign that strives to prepare Interlochen for its second century.
Paula Robinson, an American flutist who has appeared as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic and co-founded the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, was welcomed as a guest instructor at the Summer Flute Institute at Interlochen Arts Camp 2012.
Interlochen dance students work with internationally acclaimed choreographer Christopher Williams in preparation for a unique opportunity: performing an original modern dance at the 2016 NY Phil Biennial in the famed David Geffen Hall in New York City.
The Singer-Songwriter program at Interlochen Arts Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum in the discipline of popular music songwriting. Students will foster their own personal musical style while developing skills in melody, harmony, arranging and lyric-writing.
