    Position Purpose: Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail

    Essential Job Functions: This position collects, sorts, and distributes mail throughout the entire campus.

  • Job Title: Marketing and Communications Internship

    Reports to: National Marketing and Communications Manager

    Position Purpose: The marketing and communications intern works closely with the marketing staff to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences.  

  • Job Title: Master Carpenter-Theatre

    Position Purpose: Act as lead builder for the all student theatrical productions.

  • Job Title: Master Electrician-Theatre

    Reports to: Technical Theater Manager

    Position Purpose: Oversee lighting and design functions for various student theatrical productions.

  • Job Title: Music Reference Intern

    Reports to: Head of Music Library

    Position Purpose:  To serve the music needs of Interlochen campers (high school, intermediate, junior), faculty, staff, and alumni during 6-week arts camp. Interns provide chamber music, scores, and recordings to music library patrons

  • Job Title:  Camp Nurse

    Reports to:  Director of Health and Wellness Services

    Position Purpose:  To provide nursing care to campers with a variety of health needs ranging from minor illnesses and injuries, to chronic illnesses such as asthma and diabetes.

  • Job Title:  Orchestral String Repair Technician

    Reports to:  Instrument Services Coordinator

    Position Purpose:  To provide on-site repairs and adjustments to ICA-owned and privately-owned orchestral string instruments

    Essential Job Functions: Diagnose and repair basic problems associated with string instruments; rehair bows

  • Job Title: Painter-Theatre

    Reports to: Scenic Artist

    Position Purpose: Assist in the painting of all set pieces and props for all student theatrical productions.

    Essential Job Functions: Supporting the scenic artist in the painting of all set pieces and props for all student theatrical productions.

  • Job Title: Pedestrian Safety Officer (PSO)

    Reports to:  Director of Security, Transportation and Campus Safety

    Position Purpose:  Provide safe crossing of the state highway for campers, faculty and staff.

    Essential Job Functions:   PSOs monitor vehicle traffic on a busy state highway, safely stopping traffic to allow pedestrians to cross.

  • Job Title: Percussion Coordinator

    Reports to: Coordinator of Facilities & Calendar Scheduling

    Position Purpose: Oversees the distribution and organization of percussion equipment for daily rehearsals and performances.

  • Job Title: Photography Internship

    Reports to: National Marketing and Communications Manager

    Position Purpose: Photographers capture photos for use by the marketing department in print publications and online. They work closely with the marketing department to become familiar with the department's needs and then work independently to capture photos.

    Reports to: Director, Interlochen Presents and Patron & Artist Services Coordinator

    Position Purpose: Oversight of summer Front-of-House operations and staff

    Reports to: Patron & Artist Services Coordinator and Presentations Front-of-House Manager

    Position Purpose: Execute Front-of-House operations at performance venues.

  • Job Title: Production Lead Audio Technician

    Reports to: Director, Interlochen Presents

    Position Purpose: Set-up and operation of Interlochen’s audio systems which can include Front-of-House and monitor systems.

  • Job Title: Production Lead Stage Technician

    Reports to: Director, Interlochen Presents

    Position Purpose: The position will be involved with leading the production crew in the areas of staging and lighting set-up.

  • Job Title: Production Services

    Reports to: Director, Interlochen Presents

    Position Purpose: The production crew will provide all aspects of technical production support including staging, audio and theatrical lighting for student and guest artist events in the summer.

  • Job Title: Properties Assistant-Theatre

    Reports to: Properties Master

    Position Purpose: Assist Properties Master to secure properties and set dressings for High School theatrical productions.

  • Job Title: Properties Master-Theatre

    Reports to: Technical Theater Manager

    Position Purpose: Working in conjunction with the design teams, this individual will secure properties and set dressings for the High School theatrical productions within budget.

    Reports to:  Chief Engineer, Interlochen Public Radio

  • Job Title: Recreation Manager

    Reports to: Coordinator of Leisure Arts

    Position Purpose: The Recreation Manager is the liaison between the Recreation Department and the Camp Divisions. S/he also oversees the Challenge Course Program, and thus is responsible for scheduling, proper documentation, and facilitation.

  • Job Title: Recreation/Challenge Course Lead

    Position Purpose: The Recreation/Challenge Course Lead functions as the manager of the challenge course, possessing the specialized and specific industry knowledge and experience to run a safe program and keep the facility in top working condition.
