Job title: Program Office Staff
Reports to: Program Office Supervisor
Position Purpose: The program office staff prepare programs that describe the sequence of events at a concert, recital or other presentation. In addition to the sequence of events, the programs recognize instructors and students involved in the presentation, help visitors learn about Interlochen, and often provide historical information about the presentation. It is common for students and parents to keep programs in scrapbooks for many years.
Essential Job Functions: Primary responsibilities include gathering performance details, typing, properly formatting information and preparing a large volume of programs for concerts, recitals and other arts presentations.
Other Job duties: Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used: Personal computer with Microsoft Word.
Qualifications: Position requires strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, plus advanced musical literature knowledge and editing/proofing skills. The successful candidate will be an independent, self-motivated worker who pays close attention to details, can follow set guidelines and procedures, communicates well with others, and enjoys a busy work environment. Primary working hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Salary: $1050 including room and board
