Job Title: Presentations Front-of-House Staff
Reports to: Patron & Artist Services Coordinator and Presentations Front-of-House Manager
Position Purpose: Execute Front-of-House operations at performance venues.
Essential Job Functions: Front-of-House staff members are responsible for front-of-house services in the performance venues at Interlochen Arts Camp for both student and guest artist performances. They oversee ushers, assist concert patrons, manage concert program distribution, manage shuttle carts and provide security for visiting artists.
Other Job Duties: In addition, a few staff members will also be trained in box office duties and be utilized in this fashion as needed.
Equipment Used: Computer, phones, fax machines, golf carts, two-way radios
Qualifications: Someone who is customer service oriented, a fast learner with the ability to work occasional long hours and a flexible schedule, and who is also comfortable dealing with the public. Summer Arts Festival guests include classical, jazz, dance, comedy, country and pop entertainers. Past guest artists include Steve Miller Band, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Styx, KT Tunstall, Joshua Bell, Ra Ra Riot, Parsons Dance, Paula Poundstone, etc.
Compensation: $1150 plus room and board
